Our Story

Harpella was born out of love for our two daughters, Harper and Stella. When both girls developed eczema and struggled with sensitive skin that reacted to most commercial products, we knew we had to find a better solution. As parents, watching your children suffer from constant irritation and discomfort is heartbreaking, so we turned to nature for answers.

After researching traditional Māori healing practices, we discovered kawakawa, a native New Zealand plant renowned for its anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing properties. We began experimenting in our kitchen, creating gentle balms using wild-harvested kawakawa and other natural ingredients. The results were remarkable. Our daughters' skin finally found relief, and we knew we had created something special.

That's when Harpella was born, combining Harper and Stella's names to honour the two little girls who inspired this journey. What started as a solution for our family became a mission to help other families dealing with sensitive skin, eczema, and the frustration of harsh chemical-laden products.

What We Do

Based in Waikanae, New Zealand, we handcraft premium skincare products using kawakawa and other native botanicals. Each product is carefully formulated and made by hand in small batches to deliver gentle, effective care for even the most sensitive skin.
